A dedicated lens hood providing optimal shading and protection against unwanted stray light and lens flare.
Lens hoods are essential accessories for photographers and videographers as they help improve image quality by preventing glare and reducing the impact of stray light on the lens. By effectively blocking light from entering the lens at certain angles, a lens hood minimizes the risk of lens flare and ghosting, thus enhancing contrast and colour saturation in images.
Apart from its primary function of preventing unwanted light from entering the lens, the hood also offers additional benefits. It acts as a physical barrier, shielding the front lens element from accidental bumps, scratches, and fingerprints. This protection helps to extend the lifespan of the lens and preserve its optical performance over time.
When not in use, the lens hood can be conveniently reversed and mounted on the lens in a reversed position. This storage method saves space and allows for easy transport without the need for additional carrying cases or pouches.
This Nikon Lens Hood is an official Nikon accessory, designed and manufactured to the highest standards.
